NEXT Institute is a young initiative. If you are here now, you’ve found us in the alpha phase. That means you were specifically looking for what we have to offer. That is good news. Welcome!
Behind the scenes, we are working hard to roll out the NEXT Institute bootcamp and courses as soon as possible. We aim to have our first courses online in July 2021. Meanwhile, we are expanding the explainer section.

Mission
NEXT Institute has two main goals:
Responsible technologies
- We aim to make technologies more humane. Understanding them is the first step.
- We want technology to unify, rather than to deepen the divides.
Strengthening democracies
The overall objective is to strengthen democracies all over the world.
Perhaps you can imagine we are feeling a sense of urgency now. You can help us to roll out faster.

How to Contribute
You may like to write a column
If you understand an associated topic that many people are struggling to comprehend, you could write a column. We like to keep things simple. If you have the ability to extract the core from a thorny issue – and explain it in simple terms – you are exactly what we are looking for!
Please note: we are not so much interested in opinion pieces, because we focus on demystifying complex matters. It helps if you are an experienced writer, as we currently have limited capacity to edit material. But if not, we’ll work something out.
You are an expert in a certain field and would like to curate a topic page
That would be possible. We currently focus on technology and law. Many of the phenomena we are covering have a psychological angle as well. Let us know your field of expertise.
You are an expert in a certain field and have time to check our content on accuracy
Welcome, welcome. Making mistakes is human, but we aim to be accurate and fact-based. If you spot an error, let us know.
You can edit
Some external material may be really good, but would require some editing. If you could help us out on that front, drop us a line!
You would like to develop your own course
NEXT Institute aims to be a platform for everyone who can explain the complexities of these confusing times.
We will gladly offer the opportunity to sell your own courses on the NEXT Institute platform. Any course would have to fit in with our curriculum, of course, so check with us before you start developing content. Please have a look at the courses that are in the pipeline, to get an idea of our topics. Click here.
