The explainers simplify complex phenomena and concepts. They cut through the clutter, and zoom in on the core of issues – with the option to go more in-depth in the courses of NEXT Institute.
We’re adding new explainers every day.
Demystifying seemingly complex concepts, such as algorithms and superintelligence.
Clarifying the legal context in which these developments take place and the painful dilemmas we have to mitigate.
Trying to make sense of it all? Frustrated by a world that seems to go mad. NEXT Institute has the antidote.
The explainers tackle seemingly inexplicable phenomena of the digital age, such as conspiracy theories. You’ll learn about LOGIC and psychological phenomena like BIASES.
Ready for the digital age.
What is associative learning
The setup of the explainers is associative, so you can hop from topic to topic – crisscrossing between phenomena and across disciplines – approaching issues from different angles: technology, law, logic and psychology.
We provide the building blocks, so you can form your own opinion. If you need insight into the overall picture, you can enroll in one of our courses. NEXT Institute will help you recognize the correlations between seemingly unrelated phenomena.
a work in progress
We are strong believers in science. The compact explainers are fact-based. Per definition, a summary is never comprehensive, but the explainers link to videos and whitepapers for those who want a deeper understanding of a certain topic.
In the process of distilling the essence from a complex matter, we may oversimplify. That is unavoidable, but something we aim to minimize.
Each explainer has a comment section below the content. Feel free to suggest additions or improvements. We’ll certainly take your input into consideration, and if possible include it in the explainer.
